Robe and leading UK lighting and visuals rental company RML supplied ROBIN 100 LEDBeams and ROBIN 600 LEDWash moving light fixtures and CityFlex LED units to the ‘Search For A Twitter Star Live’ event, staged at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue – in the heart of London’s West End.
The final of the one night X-Factor style talent show saw ten finalists vie to become the potential next ‘Leading Lady’ and ‘Leading Man’ of musical theatre as judged by four West End aficionados – Mike Dixon, Louise Dearman, Gemma Lowy Hamilton and David King – and hosted by Aled Jones.
The audience could Tweet about the performances and support their favourites, while the contestants were joined onstage by various chorus lines.
Lighting was designed by Ben Rogers.
RML was very happy to support the show, as an already committed investor in future generations of entertainment industry professionals via on-going training, work-placement schemes and various donations.
Search For A Twitter Star proved a fun and highly interactive evening of talent spotting.
Robe UK’s Ashley Lewis helped arrange the supply of the fixtures, which Ben enjoyed using.
He commented, “The LEDBeam 100s are seriously bright”. He was impressed with the compact size, super lightweight, the quality of the colours and smooth movement.
